Deep sleep tea recipe

Do you have a difficult time falling asleep, a hard time staying asleep, or wake up feeling like you did not get a deep sleep? If this sounds familiar, it could be worth trying a herbal tea blend to assist you in getting a good night’s rest. This recipe is perfect with those who struggle with stress, trauma, or who have an overactive sympathetic nervous system or busy mind.

Let’s get started! To make this tea, you will need:

  • a scale to measure the herbs,
  • a tea diffuser to steep the loose leaf tea, and
  • a glass jar to store the herbal tea mixture.

You’ll also need the following four herbs in the amounts indicated below:

  • Valerian root (30 grams)
  • Passion flower (10 grams)
  • Lemon balm (10 grams)
  • Lavender flower (8 grams)

To make the tea, turn on the scale and place the glass jar on the scale. Next, add each of the herbs into the jar, in the amounts shown above. Once all herbs have been added into the jar, put on the lid and shake up the mixture. Store with lid on for optimal freshness.

To steep tea, add about 1 heaping teaspoon of mixture into tea diffuser and steep tea for 5-10 minutes. I enjoy drinking this tea 30 minutes to one hour before bedtime. Please do not drive, bike, or operate machinery after drinking this tea, as it may cause calmness and drowsiness.

Thanks for reading and I hope that this tea helps you to have a wonderful sleep!
